Please note the three different forms for abstract submission/abstract presentation during the ESC 2017:

  • oral presentation (as usual presence on site)
  • e-poster presentation (as usual presence on site)
  • virtual e-poster presentation (virtually on the internet - for authors who cannot attend in person)

What does "virtual – e-poster" mean?

It is a new way for those participants/groups who are not able (neither themselves nor their co-authors) to travel to Berlin and join the meeting in person for whatever reasons but want to introduce their scientic work during this most important international meeting in the stroke field and see it published in our prestigious journal Cerebrovascular Diseases.

What you need to do is

- to submit your abstract as usual by means of the abstract form
- select the virtual e-poster only form and
- register at the 50% reduced registration rate

After review by members of the scientific board of the ESC – as usual – and acceptance for presentation you should prepare and submit a pdf poster presentation – as usual for all e-posters – and, add an introduction of 2 minutes with an audio or video selfie which you produced with your mobile or video camera! This will be discussed during the guided poster session by the chair and tour audience.

Please indicate your preferred form of presentation when submitting your contribution.

In the course of the submission process you will also be able to apply for a ESRF Grant (note that presenting author must be <35 years).

Please note that you must release the copyright (online e-book and e-book of the journal "Cerebrovascular Diseases" / KARGER, and, possibly, supplement of the journal with all e-posters, as well as possibly webdocumentary).

After successful submission you will receive a confirmation e-mail with a request for registration of the presenting abstract author, depending on the desired form of presentation (personally on site or virtually on the internet). Please indicate your abstract registration reference numbers on this occasion.
